Passengers are being advised of fewer trains across the network due to disruption caused by so called severe weather conditions earlier this morning.

They've also pledged full compensation for customers.

They say icy conditions have caused lengthy delays across the South West Trains network, as well as affecting other transport operators and airports in the area.

As a result, South West Trains has put in place a contingency timetable which involves running fewer trains than usual on all routes in and out of London Waterloo.

Hourly services are currently operating on each route across the South West Trains network and this is expected to continue for the rest of the day.

Trains are likely to be very busy, particularly during the evening peak. More detailed service information is available on the South West Trains website at www.southwesttrains.co.uk.

South West Trains has apologised to passengers and has offered a full ticket refund for customers affected by today's disruption.

Details of the compensation arrangements and how to apply for compensation are also available on the South West Trains website at www.southwesttrains.co.uk/compensation.aspx
