Campaign Protect Dundonald Rec says Merton's Planning Applications Committee, Sport England and the Mayor of London have all been provided with inaccurate and biased information.
Lorraine Maries, chairman of PDR said: "We are disappointed but not surprised that the Mayor of London has said he does not want to
intervene. He has been misled by the Council regarding this application,"
They say the matter has now been passed to solicitors.
In defence, Merton Council cabinet member for education Councillor Martin Whelton said: "We are aiming to increase the number of reception places at Dundonald School from 30 to 60."
"This will then work its way through the school."
"We are pleased that the Mayor of London recognises the need for there to be more school places in Merton, and in particular, in this part of Wimbledon as we work to offer places to local children at this school which is rated outstanding by Ofsted."
