Kids' recycled planes win tickets to airport open day

The pupils of Oaklands Primary School in Biggin Hill have been hard at work turning recycled materials into model aeroplanes in order to win Family Tickets to Biggin Hill Airport Family Open Day on September 10th.

They have been drawing, writing, cutting and sticking, colouring-in and their teachers have been judges, awarding one family in every class a family ticket to the event.

"The sheer number and quality of entries from Oaklands School is staggering," said Biggin Hill Airport Managing Director Jenny Munro. "The ingenuity and quality of their model aeroplanes is a delight to see and it's lovely to be able to reward so many of them with a free day out for all the family."

Local schools have all been offered a number of Family Tickets to give as prizes in various competitions. The tickets, which admit two adults and three under 16s, are currently on sale for the discounted price of £25.

If you were not lucky enough to win a ticket for the family day at the airport, go to or phone our 24 hour call centre on 0871 220 0260 to buy yours now.
