National Stress Awareness Day comes to Wimbledon

Merton libraries are helping people to relax for National Stress Awareness Day by offering hand massages and a range of relaxation sessions.
Aimed at promoting wellbeing and stress prevention, National Stress Awareness Day is an annual event that is taking place on Wednesday 7 November this year.
Wimbledon Library is marking the day of stress awareness on Friday 9 November by offering hand massages to its members at 2pm-3.30pm.
Several other stress-relieving events are taking place in Merton libraries including Yoga and wellbeing sessions aimed at improving the mind, body and health and increasing vitality.
Other sessions are taking place in Morden Library tomorrow 5.15pm - 6.45pm and Wimbledon Library on Saturday, 10am-11.30am.
Raynes Park Library is holding a Yoga and meditation classes for all levels on Thursday at 10am - 11.30am. Mitcham Library is also holding a Yoga session on Wednesday at 10am-11.30am.
Cabinet member for community and culture, Councillor Nick Draper said: "I think our libraries are the perfect place to visit any time that you're feeling stressed."
"Reading is a great hobby and a good way of relieving stress and if a book doesn't do the trick, then try out some of your library's alternative relaxation sessions."
