Nominate your Wimbledon Hero with the Merton Civic Awards

Work carried about groups, businesses and individuals across the borough is to be celebrated with the annual Merton Civic Awards. 

Merton Chamber of Commerce, along with its voluntary and community sector partners - Merton Voluntary Service Council, Volunteer Centre Merton and Merton Unity Network - is sponsoring the Business Award which will acknowledge and celebrate those private sector businesses that are supporting our the Wimbledon and Community area.

There are 9 category nominations in total, which are:

Young Persons

Outstanding Achievement Award

Volunteer Award

Community Award

Carer Award

Teacher Award

Sporting Achievement Award

Arts & Entertainment Award

Business Award 

Act of Courage

Nominations from the public on these nine separate categories will be collected between now and February next year, with a shortlist created of the most worthy candidates. 

The award ceremony will be held at Wimbledon Studios.  

So, if you are aware of a business in Merton that is supporting our Community this is your chance to nominate and thank them for their incredible generosity. Nomination forms will be available in council offices, libraries and inside copies of the Wimbledon Guardian.
