Post Office in Raynes Park under threat?

Royal Mail have said they want to keep a Post Office in the Raynes Park area, amid fears the branch on Amity Grove could close. 

West Barnes, Lib Dem Councillor, Iain Dysart wrote to company with the people's fears. 

He's said: ""I'm pleased to say that Royal Mail's response to me stated that they are committed to having a Post Office branch 'in the area'. They say that Crown Post Offices are losing money, and that they are looking for retail partners." 

Royal Mail also said that any plans to close the post office in Raynes Park would come under public scrutiny. 

"We are still concerned that residents were given misleading information and obviously employees are worried. We are also asking the Royal Mail for a more precise definition of 'in the area'". Iain added.
