Many people in Wimbledon are waking up to the glorious site of snow this morning.

According to the Met Office, there is a risk of icy patches, with sunshine developing in the afternoon with a cold northerly breeze.

Tonight, mostly clear skies with icy patches expected to form on untreated surfaces.

Schools

Surrey News ‏@SurreyNews have said:"Currently no schools have informed us they intend to close today,if they do they'll update this site http://online.surreycc.gov.uk/education/schools.nsf/webschoolsbystatusall?openform … #surreysnow

Transport

On the roads, over 1,700 grit bins have been filled with grit with over 51 farmers on standby to clear the roads, if needed.

Always take care when travelling and remember your stopping distances in wet weather.

On the railways, South West Trains have cancelled services between Reading and London Waterloo because of ice on the tracks.

They've also cancelled services from Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo.

There's reports that snow is building up heavily at Woking Station.

If you're thinking of heading into London, the Piccadilly Line is experiencing minor delays due to ice and snow on the tracks.

That said, if you have any pictures of snow in Wimbledon, be sure to tweet them to @wimbledonpeople.
