The GMB Union is staging a protest outside of the Tandem Centre over cuts to employment terms, failure to pay a living wage and paying their fair share of taxes.

The Wimbledon based union says that the coffee giant is failing to pay the expected £7.45 an hour.

GMB members have also spoken out about the cuts on paid half hour lunches and paid sick leave for the first day of sickness.

Some staff could see a pay freeze and a cut in maternity benefits.

They're also speaking out about the companies stance on trade unions, in spite of having 750 stores in operation.

Starbucks today said they're going to pay around £10 million in tax year on year.

Wimbledon based GMB issued Starbucks with a corporate ASBO and have said they're taking national, peaceful action around the UK.

The protest outside the Colliers Wood Shopping centre takes place at 5pm.
