Italian cuisine is perennially popular and Wimbledon boasts several great restaurants to give you a true flavour of the country's culinary delights. From classic pizzas and pasta dishes to cured meats and distinctive flavours, everyone loves a bit of Italian.

Mamma Rosa Ristorante, located at Merton Abbey Mills is one establishment you may not be aware of but you should give it a try. The restaurant has seating for over 100 people and they cater for events, office parties and so on as well as private dining. On Mondays and Tuesdays excluding bank holidays and Valentine's Day you can even bring your own wine with you and there's no corkage charge – great for saving a few pounds on a night out! They also offer a takeaway service, baby changing facilities, a covered outdoor smoking area and regular special offers.
Towards the bottom of the Broadway you'll find La Nonna which offers a wide range of classic dishes in an attractive and cosy setting just off the town centre.
If you're looking for a vibrant, authentic atmosphere to go along with your food then Al Forno is for you. One of our favourite Wimbledon restaurants, Al Forno serves great food at very reasonable prices with an informal trattoria ambience ideal for couples and parties alike.
Rehab, right opposite Colliers Wood station is a hidden little gem of the area. It doesn't look much from the outside with just a small frontage but inside it's bigger than it appears and boasts a great atmosphere, lovely food and really good value for money. If you're looking for somewhere new to try, we wholeheartedly recommend you seek it out although Amy Winehouse isn't too keen, apparently.
Flying the flag for the Village is Piccolino that will appeal more to the sophisticates but don't be misled. It's got that vibrant feel you expect from an Italian restaurant and serves great food that will leave you wanting more despite the healthy portions!
