Vera's verdict on Aubaine - Wimbledon Village's latest French cafe

Visited our latest French cafe for a late breakfast today.

Wow, what a difference! Gone is the dark dreary interior of the Common Room - hello delightful shabby chic. Hmmm.

I have to admit - you might need to remortgage your house for a coffee and croissant - but what a croissant it is. Served with a wonderful selection of jams and truly delicious.

Other breakfast items are croque monsieur, oeufs royale, omelette, which all looked equally delicious and beautifully served in lovely surroundings.

The revamped garden area is a little sheltered oasis and perfect for a sunny day, well we have to make the most of it when it comes out. The courtyard will be truly beautiful once all the plants and climbers have settled in.

All in all, a great new addition to the village scene.
