The graffiti was a hot topic of conversation among commuters and businesses in the area.
In October of last year, Network rail painted the four corners of the bridge to get rid of the graffiti.
Work is due to start in the new financial year.
Wimbledon resident, Anthony Fairclough has said:"There should be a straightforward way for members of the public to report these kind of problems and then action from those who're responsible."
Network Rail spends £3.5 million each year removing graffiti from its properties.
