Haslemere Primary School, Mitcham, has received a helping hand thanks to Sainsbury's Merton. Colleagues at Sainsbury's Merton have donated sports equipment that can be used to educate children and let them take part in paralympic sports.
Colleagues at the store presented Dave Hendy and children from Haslemere Primary School with the donation of sports equipment used for sports such as blind football and sitting volleyball.
Sainsbury's Merton Store Manager Phil Jeal said: "We're delighted to be able to contribute to the childrens learnings of paralympic games and it was fantastic to see young people enjoy the sports associated with our paralympians. It really gives them and insight to new sports that they may not have heard of and also gives them an appreciation for how difficult it can be to take part of these sports.
Dave Hendy from Haslemere Primary School added: "We'd like to thank Sainsbury's to donating the sports equipment. It has already proved popular with the children and we will definitely be using it in the future."
