Sainsbury's Wimbledon is asking it's customers to donate food to The Wimbledon Foodbank
• Local charity benefits from food donations
• Members from the charity will be in-store to collect the food on Saturday 04th February 2012 from 09.00-15.00

Sainsbury's Wimbledon is asking it's customers to donate food that is still healthy, nutritious and within it use-by dates to The Wimbledon Foodbank.
The food donation scheme is aimed at charities and organisations that could really benefit from receiving surplus food products. The types of items which customers at Sainsbury's Wimbledon will be donating to The Wimbledon Foodbank, include pasta and other products. Customers will be given a shopping list of products that they can donate when they enter the store in Worple Road, Wimbledon.

Nationally Sainsbury's works with the organisation FareShare, who distribute surplus food to local charities and project. Sainsbury's has been working with FareShare since 1994.
